Design the addition of a Public market located in the central shop district of the renovated Sacramento rail yards in California.
The Wayside brand encompasses the values found in the historical central hub for transportation and culture found in Sacramento. The name Wayside comes from a rail road reference which directly translates to "the area besides the train tracks". Incorporating a vintage transportation aesthetic was crucial to Wayside as Sacramento aims to enhance the vintage brick aesthetic of the central shops by complimenting it with modern architecture. The logotype for Wayside does exactly that. A modern touch is achieved by pairing inspiration from type found on old shops and steam locomotives with a condensed typeface.
