Create and brand the addition of a restaurant/cafe to live inside of the Sacramento Modern Art Museum.
For the restaurant, I decided to keep the theme of California’s history. I chose to go with a Mexican inspired cafe because California was originally a Mexican territory. The name comes from Northern California because it was once known as Alta California. For the logo I merged the shape of a ‘cuerno’, a famous Mexican sweet bread, with the shape and imagery of an Aztec headdress. The colors were inspired from antique adobe huts used as living quarters by many Natives of Alta California.
